Sanktuarium w Łagiewnikach

Sanktuarium w Łagiewnikach jest światowym centrum kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego dla pielgrzymów z Polski i innych krajów świata. Sanktuarium związane jest z życiem  św. Faustyny Kowalskiej, propagatorki kultu Bożego Miłosierdzia. Od lat 40. XX w., miejsce pielgrzymek związanych z obecnością słynącego łaskami obrazu Jezusa Miłosiernego oraz grobu Faustyny Kowalskiej. Bazylika została konsekrowana przez Jana Pawła II 17 sierpnia 2002 r. podczas jego ostatniej pielgrzymki do Polski. Do sanktuarium przyjeżdża rocznie około 2,5 miliona pielgrzymów z ponad 90 krajów świata
